The Ministry of Culture of the Dominican Republic inaugurated on September 6 the "Sala Ramon Oviedo" a space dedicated to art exhibits.
2007--His mural painting "El nacimiento de la constitucion" is unveiled in the National Congress of the Dominican Republic. The size of this painting is of 195 x 16 inches.
2009--Antonio Ocaña and Mildred Canahuate present at the art gallery Arawak of Santo Domingo en exhibit titled "Oviedo, universo magico" to celebrate the 85th birthday of Ramon Oviedo. The selected paintings were created between 1994-2004 and form part of the Ocaña collection.
The National Biennal is dedicated to Master Ramon Oviedo and two exhibits are presented, one with works of Antonio Ocaña at the Musuem of Modern Art of the Dominican Republic and a second one at the Palacio de Bellas Artes. Both exhibits were curated by Carlos Acero and Sara Hermann. Also at the Galeria de Arte Arawak a series or recent paintings and drawings titled "Divertimento sobre la danza" were exhibited and at the District Gallery exhibited "Brisa", several of his most recent paintings.
2010---The Museo Bellapart presents the exhibit "Claves: La obra pictorica de Ramon Oviedo en la Coleccion Bellapart" The National Congress of the Dominican Republic condecorates Master Oviedo with the "Medalla al Merito de las Artes y las Letras".

On july 12, 2015 Master Ramon Oviedo passed away in the city of Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic where he lived. The Master was 91 years old.
